On my mom’s side, whenever anyone had a baby, my grandma used to get all the various female relatives together to paint squares for a quilt for the baby. Well, I’m a little late to get in on that action, so I mentioned to my girlfriends that I’d really love a similar keepsake for my shower. My buds are so awesome! They came through with an amazingly beautiful quilt – not just painted, but appliqued… and with some personalized squares too (Vada’s picture, our picture, the birth stats, etc.). If the house ever burns down, it’ll be the first possession I grab!
