black bear diner
So, we’re leaving Portland in a couple weeks. Suddenly we have the urge to try all those restaurants we’ve seen but never managed to go to! Tonight it was the Black Bear Diner. It’s next to a hotel, which should have been a big clue… Eh, the food was fine, just very heavy.
Vada got to take home this enormous piece of sourdough bread that came with my dinner. If you can believe it, this is about half of its original size!

learning to sit
Vada’s slowly expanding her physical capabilities. She’s working on learning to sit down, and it’s so fun to watch. She’s so careful and deliberate about everything she tries (just like her parents – ha!).
