We finally ordered the bike rack that Chris’ parents got him for Christmas last year. Yeah, we procrastinate just a little… But we really need it now, since Chris has been biking to work a lot lately, and sometimes we like to meet up afterwards for dinner.
Vada had fun helping Daddy unpack. And then she got to play with the box – fun!

First we have this dress I’m making. I liked the fabric on this shirt (small adult size) that I got at a consignment store for $2, and I’m trying to re-sew it into a dress for Vada. I think it will be… interesting, anyway.

And here’s one of the new shirts that Grandma Lila sent. I know, it’s too big for her yet. But I couldn’t resist! Oh, and that milk mustache? It’s from daddy’s breakfast smoothie!

Walking practice with Daddy. One of these days…

Only this time, Chris joined us. Yay!

While we waited for the photos to get printed, we cruised the mall and let Vada check out the play area. For the first time, she actually played with other kids! One little girl was extra friendly, and Vada loved the attention.

We did our last photo session at the Picture People today. From now on, Chris will be taking the professional pictures with our new camera (whenever we get around to buying that…). They managed to take some really sweet pictures this time. We mostly got prints of #2, with just a couple of #8 as well.

After I picked Vada up, we hit up the Friday evening farmer’s market. We had a picnic at the beach park, played on the swings, and walked out on the pier.

Vada is always adorable, of course. But she looks especially cute to me in the morning with her crazy hair and footy pajamas.

Nectarine for dinner…

Then some drawing (though she likes to pull the crayons out of the bowl and put them back in, WAY more than the actual drawing).

Oh fun! Vada finally discovered that she can crawl inside the cubby that holds her pillows. She even lured Daddy in…

She can arch her back so much that it makes me wince. Shouldn’t that hurt??

Chris took Vada to the park this morning. It has an awesome play area for kids – today they tried the tunnel for the first time. She caught on quicker than Trudy did at doggie school…

She’s already perfected the puppy-eye look! Who wouldn’t give her a credit card, huh?

We picked up her very first puzzle at a garage sale. Now I can’t get that “Square pegs, square pegs!” theme song out of my mind… I’m sorry, now you’re infected too!

After a long morning, it’s time for that weekend special – milk before naptime.
