Vada got a lot of new toys for xmas (no big surprise there!). She likes playing with the puzzles, especially taking all the pieces out. We hope she gets into putting them back together one of these days…

We went back to the KidsQuest museum yesterday, and bought a membership. I think it will become our default Sunday afternoon activity. Vada learned to jump into the stuffed animal pit this time around, with a little help from Chris.

Check out these sweet red patent leather shoes! They’re from Grandma Lila and Grandpa Will, and they are so cute on Vada!

We have a little “lift the flap” book called “I am Helping Daddy”, which is about a toddler bunny helping his daddy bunny do stuff like paint a fence, sweep the floor, etc. It’s one of Vada’s favorites, and maybe that’s why she loves to “help” us so much.
Here she is helping Chris build the chairs and table for our new dining set. It’s from IKEA, so it’s not fantastic, but we think it will survive the toddler years…

Still cold here in Seattle, with snow and slush off & on. We bundled up and went to a park to meet up with some Portland folks who were visiting with family in town.

We opened the rest of the gifts in the morning. Chris got an electric griddle, which he immediately tried out with some pancakes – it worked great!

Vada with a big fluffy bath wrap from Grandma Jo…

And modeling my new hat and scarf (from Heidi & family)…

Around noon, it started snowing!

Vada doesn’t really know what to do with snow, except to stay very far away from it.

In the afternoon, we went over to have dinner with Chris’ friends Keith and Robin and their family. We took the opportunity to take a family picture in front of their tree.

Check out the sweet little dress on Vada – it’s from my sister Heidi…

Vada on the back patio…

We opened the gifts from Uncle Michael on xmas eve. Vada loved the slinky dog!

The movers come tomorrow morning, so vadajo.com will be down for the next few days. We’re supposed to get our internet service hooked back up on Christmas eve, so check back then! Happy holidays to everyone!!

Grandma Claudia gave Vada this cute pink and green outfit a while back. It’s still a bit big, but look how cute!!!
