We took a chance and ordered this bench from Target. It’s not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it’s a bench, and it matches the garden! I will hopefully be making some cushions for it soon.

We went back to the Bellevue Botanical gardens, and this time it didn’t pour rain on us and we were able to explore more of it. Really beautiful! Vada had a great time running around the little plaza in front of the visitor center. Check out the next post for adorable video!

First we went to the dog park…

Then we had a very sleep baby that we didn’t want taking a power nap. Great time to bust out the crystallized sugar stirring stick that I pilfered from the wedding reception. Vada was only mildly interested, but it did keep her awake long enough!

Then lunch, to satisfy Chris’ burning desire to eat a hamburger.

In the evening we met up with our friends Robin and Keith, and their son Logan, for a little picnic. We brought the wagon so the kids could take a ride. Yep, they liked it!

Vada had some fun at the park near their house. Check out the cute video!

Just a few shots from my trip to Dallas for my nephew’s wedding. First up, my brother’s new house (mansion? palace? it’s huge!).

On Friday night, the bride’s family hosted a party at “The Main Event”. We bowled, and played silly arcade games and had a really fun time. And I had TWO WHOLE beers!
Suprisingly, I didn’t get even a little bit tipsy – weird.

The wedding was gorgeous, and the reception was fantastic. Here’s a pic of me with mom, siblings and Hayden (great-nephew!).

Hayden was such a good sport, and so much fun to hold!

My favorite moment of the evening – my brother & SIL, holding Hayden (their grandson) while dancing. Melt!

I’m heading off to Dallas for my nephew’s wedding (congrats Nathan and Kristen!), so don’t expect any updates at least until Monday. I leave you with these pics from last night. Playdoh is old news – now she wants to play with stickers!

In the evening, Vada likes to play out in the front yard. Chris got her to do some wheel-barrows, which they learned in their toddler gym class! I gave it a try too. Fun!

And now it’s bath time. I can’t remember if I mentioned before that Vada was on a bath strike for most of April and May. She seems to be totally over it now, thank goodness!

After her nap on Sunday. You’ll notice that she still has her “silky pants” on – she won’t let us take them off!

We had record-breaking temps in Seattle today – 90 degrees! Finally we get to wear shorts and skirts!

In the afternoon, we met up with some friends from Portland at a cupcake/coffee shop in West Seattle. Vada thought the cupcake could use a little more icing.

It was warm enough here on Friday night that we didn’t want to put Vada in the usual footie jammies. So we tried her new fancy jammies (thanks Grandpa Dan & Grandma Claudia!), and they were great. She was saying “silky pants” over and over again all morning!

Pancakes – check out the little silicone shape thingies! Cute!

I took Trudy with me to pick Vada up from daycare on Friday, and we made a short trip to the dog park. Vada loved to watch the dogs (not Trudy, of course!) swim for tennis balls.
