Did you miss us?? Sorry for the long quiet period! We had problems with the web site – Chris said something about hackers, eek! Anyway, he fixed it, and we’re back to normal! Yay!

early birthday loot
We had our friends Charlie and Ingrid, and their kids Holly (Vada’s age) and Ellis (1) over for dinner last night. Holly picked out this sweet little giftie for Vada’s birthday (they won’t be around next weekend for the official celebration) – it’s a tube of “big cats” figurines. Roar! Thanks, Holly!
no, not bath time
This is what happens when you leave the kid alone to go to the bathroom. She gets naked and yells “come look at me, mommy!”. Of course I had to bring the camera… I’m just glad the shower curtain didn’t fall on her head!
now helping mommy
I made a goal of sewing one Project Linus quilt per month this year. It took me a while to get going, but I finished up two quilts in the last couple of weeks. They aren’t beautiful, but at least they are colorful!
rainy saturday
Out like a lamb, my foot! It was still rainy and cold this Saturday… I dragged Chris and Vada to a rummage sale after their Little Gym class. The only thing we bought was this silly microphone – it has some sort of mechanical (no batteries!) echo chamber inside it, and it sounds amazing for such a cheapo plastic toy! I wonder if I could capture that in a video… Hmmm…
cinderella
Another rummage sale find – a duplo blocks Cinderella castle set. Of course she doesn’t know the story yet, but she knows Cinderella from her set of princess undies. (Potty training continues to go great! I think we can safely call her daytime trained!)
hi ho cherry-o!
I picked up this game at a rummage sale a couple weeks ago. I think maybe I had one when I was a kid, because it seemed vaguely familiar when I spotted it. Vada sort of understands the rules, and can sort of play along. If we’re lucky, she can make it through a whole game before her attention span fails.
a crane!
Vada loves to spot cranes whenever we are in the car. I think she was impressed that we could build something crane-like out of her blocks. I wanted to take a picture, and so did she!
dancey dance
I got to take Vada to her “Little Gym” class the week before last. After class, she wandered over to the empty ballet studio for a little self-admiration session… I think I have a video of this too, which I’ll try to post later.
